My name is Krista and I had the pleasure of recently meeting Catrina Dennis. Please consider helping Catrina and her young family. They lost their apartment and all of their belongings due to the flooding from Hurricane Matthew. The community has been very generous with clothes, blankets, toys, backpacks, school supplies and toiletries. They have three children: two boys (9 and 5) and a little girl (2). They are trying to get a new place to live and every little bit will help them with raising a deposit and replacing things they lost. Catrina works full time, goes to school, and is dedicated to taking care of her family. Here is their story:
My boyfriend and I have three children, we set out here from GA to seek a better life for our three children. It's been hard finding sufficient jobs and housing. But we believe that having faith can take us a long way. So far the road has been a little tough but we just have to have to pray and keep pushing. Recently I had to drop my classes from FTTC majoring in Nursing, to take on more hours at work to better provide for my children. We are not asking for a lot, whether it's advice on getting better paying jobs, affordable housing, or whatever God lays on your heart. My wish is to get my children a home for Christmas. They deserve it and if that means me working two jobs blood sweat and tears...it's a challenge, but I will accept it to make their lives a little easier.
