Those of us who engage in critical thinking and are not living in a world of "double binds" or cognitive dissonance have known in our guts this was a set up from the beginning. Finally information is tumbling out as to how the set up was orchestrated and now who was harmed career wise or monetarily for telling the truth. They thought she'd never lose and this info would never see the light of day.
