"Susan Crabtree of the Washington Free Beacon reports on explosive testimony from David Asher, who served as an adviser to Gen. John Allen at the Defense and State Departments. Asher told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that, in the lead-up to and during nuclear negotiations with Iran, top officials across several key law enforcement and intelligence agencies in the Obama administration “systematically disbanded” law enforcement activities targeting the terrorism financing operations of Iran, Hezbollah, and Venezuela. ...."

"... Asher described extensive collaboration in terror-financing among the Iranians, Syrians, and Venezuelans. He testified that the U.S. government was in a position to take these networks down. Instead, the Obama administration took down the units that were combating the terror-financing, according to Asher. ..."

Germany — Europe’s wealthiest NATO member with a $4 trillion GDP — is $38.2 billion short on its $80 billion spending bill by only investing 1.18 percent of its GDP on defense. Italy is $23.1 billion short; Spain is $18.8 billion short; Canada is $16.7 billion short; NATO host Belgium is $5.6 billion short; France is $5.5 billion short; and Luxembourg — which has Europe’s greatest average annual income per person at $102,000, contributed less than 0.5 percent of its GDP for defense. There may be an excuse for the newest members from Eastern Europe with developing economies for not being able to meet these funding levels, but there is no excuse for the wealthy nations."

I totally agree with this. Does congress have the spine to shut it down?  Once upon a time I would have said yes but many are like blobs of hot jello.

    The idea that the Federal Bureau of Investigation - [the] top person, man who's in charge of criminal investigation for the entire federal govt. That he would go outside the system deliberately manipulate the system, and that's what he's done.

    And I think what that brings into question is whether or not the congress should shut down the independent counsel because it is poisoned fruit. ..."
