Comparing Apples and Potatos

I live in the Ozarks of Arkansas, and have lived here for 13 years {about}, was originally from Southern California. I'm the only one in my family tree that has moved EAST, cept a few that are in Colorado and Idaho.

There is no gambling allowed in AR, so I drive to the MO line about once a week, and that is the extent of my recreational time.  No Bingo allowed in this county, THIS in a dry county.  It is also the buckle of the Bible belt.

It is now December, and although we have had a unseasonable Warm fall, the cold has started to chill me to the bone.  There is snow predicted tonight, and from the looks of the clouds on my way home from work, it should be a doozey.

I work at a grocery store (part-time) always under 40 hours, so they don't have to pay for any benefits... anyway, as I've been reading Lottery Post alot lately I've discovered that Missouri Lottery has the lowest grade (F-) in the nation so have branched out online to play in other states.  What I was getting out about being a Grocery clerk, is the universal Produce Codes. When I was playing only MO I noticed that the pick-4 four numbers for a period would all start with the same numbers... the number 4 would have been a good bet, if you were allowed only to pick the first single.  The Produce codes that are punched in the cash register by the clerk, mostly start with 40~~, and they are four digits.

I seem to have an affinity for 4~~~, I have 4 daugthers and no sons, the last four digits of my SS# starts with 4, my address starts with 4~~~ and is four digits long,  my phone number without the prefix and area code is 4~~~. My childhood phone number was 4447.

I've also noticed that any given pick 4 day will have a proponderance of 2 or 3 numbers, lately its been 19... hence playing birthyears has been paying off.  Tonight it seems to have changed to 18, and especially 3.  I know it must have something to do with with where the sun and moon are, and would like to ask "Libra Dave", when will it be that -4--0- will come again into existance.

Then I can play Produce Codes... it cant be any worse than Licence Plates, which I occationally use when driving to the line.

The first one every new checker learns:

4011 - Bananas

Other Doubles favorites:

4088 - Red Peppers

4046 - Avocados (they don't know what a Good Avocado is in Arkansas!)

3151 - Vine Ripe Tomatos, as opposed to Green House, but they look the same...

4166 - Sweet (Yellow) Onions

4663 - White Onions

4060 - Broccoli Bunches

4050 - Cantalope

That's about all I feels like rembering while I'm not working...
