When Virtuous Men Hesitate

Excerpt:

Sam Adams was a freedom lover.  He said this:

“It is the greatest absurdity to suppose it [would be] in the power of one, or any number of men, at the entering into society, to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving those rights; when the grand end of civil government, from the very nature of its institution, is for the support, protection, and defense of those very rights; the principal of which…are life, liberty, and property. If men through fear, fraud, or mistake, should in terms renounce or give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the grand end of society would absolutely vacate such renunciation. The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of man to alienate this gift and voluntarily become a slave.” (Samuel Adams, Life of Samuel Adams, 1:504.)

If Sam was right, and I believe he was, freedom is a gift from God and to even TRY to give it up, as Americans are doing today, or to even ATTEMPT to take it away—as America’s government is trying to do today—IS NOTHING SHORT OF BLASPHEMY!  Sam rightly points out—it is the duty of government to PROTECT those rights—NOT To Take Them Away.

Ron Paul Thankful For Edward Snowden

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/06/ron-paul-thankful-for-edward-snowden-92524.html?hp=r6

Excerpt:

"The government does not need to know more about what we are doing. We need to know more about what the government is doing,” Paul added in obvious criticism of the Obama administration. “The Fourth Amendment is clear; we should be secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects, and all warrants must have probable cause. Today the government operates largely in secret, while seeking to know everything about our private lives – without probable cause and without a warrant.”

I can't argue with that.

Afghan Parliament Upholds Right Of Old Men To Marry Little Girls

Excerpt:

"Afghanistan's parliament has  rejected a measure  that  would have barred men from marrying girls younger than  16,  saying  the proposal ran counter to Islamic ideology.

The measure also would have banned “baad, [the] traditional  practice  of  buying or selling women to settle disputes,” and outlawed  criminal  charges  being imposed on rape victims, Breitbart reported. Rape  victims  in Afghanistan often  are charged with fornication or adultery."

These are the people the feds sent agents to TN to warn us not to offend them or talk about them unkindly because it would be a hate crime. These are the people our government defends while calling Catholics and Evangelical Protestants "Religious Extremists".

These people buy and sell women, they marry children, they charge rape victims with the crime and we are the extremists?

Uh-uh, I don't think so.

Think again, Bucko.

Catholic Archbishop To America: Wake Up! Our Religious Liberty Is Under Attack!

Under this administration, a right left undefended is a right surrendered and taken away.

We now have to defend our rights against a government that wants to illegally deny them.

Or they'll be gone forever.

We don't get our rights from politicians and they have no authority to take them away.
