Need a new computer

Published:

I've had this laptop, since, 2009.

I think it's time to upgrade.

Even though , it's a nice one, it has crashed many times.

Due to my youngest son being on it, downloading music, etc.

Clicking on *&^% , he don't know nothing about.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I get home today, it's super slow, and all other types of mess.

I don't feel like messing with it, but ,I have for the last 2 hours.

I have a tablet, but, I don't like it, I have internet on my phone, but, who wants to strain their eyes?

I don't.

I like my laptop.

What I should have done, was used my fingerprint to log on, then, I wouldn't have this problem.

A great feature that I don't even use.

Anyway.

Time for some New Technology.

With a new one you might have the same problem, maybe it is not so much the technology that it is the problem, but some it is.
As you know, mostly the problem is people who don't know much about computers and the Internet doing things that they should not be doing.
If your son gets hold of a new laptop new or not it might not be too long before it is just the same as the old laptop.
You should had made it so you could just go back in time to when it was O.K.
People who really know computers and software have many possible alternatives other than to get new computers and or go to the computer repair-man (or repair-woman).
I myself am still using Win XP computers and not too long ago was using a Win 98SE computer.
I sure crashed the Win 98SE computer and also the Win XP computers many many times, but I never had to go to a computer repair man nor had to get new computers, when I got the Win 98SE computer it was already an old computer and I most of my Win XP computers I bought them used also and they were old, except for 1 WinXP computer that I bought new, all my computers are very old and used, but they also are lightning fast, I mean for old computer chips.
I made my computers in such a way, that when they crash if they do crash which it is not very often, I can fix them up as good as new in about half and hour to about 1 hour, all by myself and no, I don't have to re-install windows, well not in the regular way, I just copy Windows fron one partition to another partition, very easy and simple to do.
and no I don't have to re-install drivers and software programs, everything is already there.
It helps to know a few things.
So far I have never used Vista nor Windows 7 nor Windows 8.
WinXP works so well that it is just fine I am using it right now same as always, Upgrade? What for? Yes, one day if I am still alive I might upgrade to some newer operating system, be it Windows 10 or Windows 20, or maybe Windows 8.1, but probably not Windows 8.1 unless I do buy a Windows 8.1 tablet.
I no longer use Win98SE, I took that computer apart, but when I used it the last time, it was still lightning fast, it was a speed demon, it felt much faster than any of my Win XP computers feel and they do feel fast just not as fast as the old Win98SE computer felt.
But things are relative, as the Win XP computers do have faster hardware chips, but the Win98SE responded so very fast to everything no matter if all the hardware chips were very slow and old and it had so little memory, it still felt like a speed demon, I have relatives with new computers and they (the newer computers) respond so slow when compared to my old Win98SE and my WinXP computers.

I myself neevr used the newer computer that my relatives have, but I have seen they using them and those new computers do respond a lot more slowly than any of my old computers do, but my relatives don't know as much about computers as I myself do, compared to me they know little.

Another bum night messing with this laptop.
It's official, I'm winning some money,and I'm buying a new one, lmaoooooooooooo.
ASAP.
I don't have the patience for this, lol.
I changed browsers tonight, to Firefox, I don't like this either, it's jumpy.
Like those knock off cell phones, lmaoooooooooooooo.
I went to school for this, after leaving Chrysler, I could fix it, but, guess what?
I don't feel like it, lmaoooooooooooooooooooo.
I did yesterday, and it's still crappy, so it's a done deal.
I don't know what my son did, all I know is, he told me his e-mail was hacked.
O.k. why log onto your e-mail account on my computer?
Really?

I won $50 tonight, that's not enough, so, I'm running the next number I like, 10 times, $1.00 box, to win $1,000.00, and I'm on my way to the store, lmaoooooooooooo
Thanks guys, good luck.

I can post here, but, not on the thread.
Oh well, I guess my lottery addiction will be curved until I get a new computer.
I'll have to access the information through my cell phone.
Ughhhhh.

Good luck!
WinXP computer have what is called a "system restore"
I have never used that myself, but they say that when you use it, that is, when you set "a system restore point" you can go back to it and your computer will be just as it was at that point in time, so if you get malware or a virus and now have trouble with your computer and if you had set a system restore point anytime before you got the virus or malware and go back to that time, you will no longer have the virus or malware and your computer will be O.K.
That is just one of many ways in which you can protect your computer.
Another way would be to use software that isolates your computer from your browser and the Internet, so whatever you do or don't do on the Internet won't hurt your computer.
But there are more ways in which a person can protect their computer(s).
Good luck!

Thanks @ MonE.
I did that a few days ago, I know about the "Restore Point".
I did that, and it's working.
But, I think I"m going to buy a new one anyway.
I did a lot of other things to, defrag, ran a virus scan, uninstalled any new updates, etc.
Thanks.

Removed quite a few viruses, restored, defragment, removed some add ons.
Battery is gone.
Ordered a battery off Amazon, $15.00. Guy at the computer store tried to get me for $100.00.
Once I get the new battery it's on.
Will have my laptop back working.
