The Gracious Believer

The charm of this life, is the understanding soul,
the heart must be reckoned with, but the mind must know
.

To prey on the foolish, or the one's in despair,
is to void out all conscience, and have no real care.

The gracious believer, in the good book of life,
is pleased to be sorry, and glories in strife.

His conscience is pending, the judgement of God,
he humbles himself, when whipped with the rod.

Oh, what hope there must be, when man lays down his life,
to save his neighbor, or show him the light.

How fortunate we are, to believe as we may,
till the coming of Jesus, on that wonderful day.
