Today is another day

Published:

I won on the tag on the 649, worth $2.00. Got another ticket , . Last year the 649 cost a dollar then they put it up to 2 dollars.

Sometimes when I go to a store, I'll also say to the clerk that I want a winning ticket and they smile. Also I am applying for jobs and waiting to hear back from employers.

That is my excitement for today.

Elizabeth,

I always ask them to give me a winner...in fact I demand it. But they smile at me too. Sometimes they insinuate they want a piece of it and then I smile back at them. ;)
That's why I only spend a buck...their smile isn't worth any more than that...lol

Hey, good luck in the job hunt. Today is another day, but it truly is the first day of the rest of your life. It's a ladder, babe...gotta look upwards. Climb to the sky and grab a piece of that cloud...it's yours too.

Rick

I always ask "are these the winners?" and I get strange stares! I'm also looking around for work.
Good luck, Elizabeth. I hope you find something soon, but try not to get too frustrated if you don't get a call right away. I know it's scary, but just remember that if you get rejections, it has nothing to do with who you are and better news will follow. I've been told Mrs. Fields started out with a few dozen cookies, so keep the faith.

Hi justexploring and Rick G, Yes I try to keep positive and I know that I will find a good company somewhere. Also I won $ 2.00 on a scratch ticket, it's not much, I wanted a bigger win. Do you buy scratch tickets as well ?

The title of this blog entry reminded me of Scarlett O'Hara: "Tomorrow is another day." I think it came right after Rhett Butler's famous remark, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

No, I don't buy scratch tickets. As I wrote once, I've been playing the same Lotto numbers for so long that I am afraid to stop. I used to play a variety of games, but I am trying to to spend too much right now. Too much for me means another over a quarter! lol Oh, better go out now before Ernesto gets here, just in case. It's very calm right now, but they are forecasting flooding and strong wind gusts.

To Todd - you are correct. However, I don't think the line came right after Rhett's famous departure. I'm not sure. I like the title to the movie. Sounds like a description of what happens to my money everytime I play the lottery. "Gone With The Wind"

A comment on our world - when Rhett said "Damn" it was considered to be very bold for Hollywood. Now we see naked people having sex on television, sometimes with more than one person or gender.

When I tell people I buy lottery tickets and they are negative and say that it's a waste of money or that nobody wins. I tell them people win all the time
