Hello friends

Hello friends,  I bought a super 7 ticket last night. Filled out some numbers on a ticket slip and had a good feeling about them. Looked at my ticket this morning and  had 4 out of 7 numbers for a prize of $ 10.

The lottery should give a bigger payout if you get a good amount of numbers but they don't. They are too cheap. I will play the numbers for other lotteries because they are bound to come up again.

bye

That is so true about prizes the best ones are the hardest to get the top prize.-weshar75

Good morning, Elizabeth. Congrats on your $10 win. I agree, that's a skimpy payoff compared to the odds you beat. But it gives you some playing money, right? ...or a nice steak and eggs breakfast.

When I win money I go buy more tickets, and gas for the car or food. Rick, that steak breakfast you mentioned made me hungry. Ha ha.

weshar, have you been satisfied with your lottery wins?

Congrats on your win! However, I know exactly what you mean. I've been playing the FL Lotto for 12 years and have never missed a drawing yet I've won less than $100. But $10 is better than nothing at all. By the way, I stopped playing Fantasy 5 to save money and a couple of days ago 2-10-19-28-34 came up. My numbers were 2-7-10-19-28. I would have won $108. Still, had I kept playing all these past few months, I'd be about even or a little behind, so I'm not really upset about it. Keep listening to those "good feelings!"

WELL HELLO MY CANADIAN FRIEND. i am glad to see you have a blog finally. i will have something to look forwared to reading when i come in here. so keep posting when you got time. this makes for a good read about the wins and losses we go through. i will have to watch for your name in the blog section.

i am jealous of you already. i have blogged for over a year now and you have more comments than i do. i think you have at least 15 comments already. your blogs (i have not read them all) must be poignant and thought provoking to make people comment on your blog.

now congrats on your 10 dollar win. i like to think about the positive. look how many of your neighbors have played and they say they never win anything. look you are already one win ahead of them and one step closer to a big win.

i agree with you about the pay structure of the super 7. you hit 4 numbers and you should get something in the thousands. well that is my opinion and i am sticking to it. still there are a bunch of state side lottos if you hit 4 digits you get like a hundred dollars. not much but that is how it goes. i think the wisconsin megabucks is like that. i looked at the payout and said that is bad but i bought the ticket anyway because i want the shot at the big one. i don't know about you but i need a million dollars to help pay my bills and take me away from the work world.

regarding the job thing. just keep hanging in there. i am in the same boat. my last real job didn't not pan out and left me with a lot of debt. i am pounding the internet looking for work. i need work like yesterday because i got more bills than i got money. so hang in there and no that someone is worse off than you out there somewhere. just take one step and put it in front of the other and keep doing what you doing and it will work out somekind of way.

you take care and if i don't see you on the chat room i will just read your blog. take care and win the big one and think of your online friend. that would be me. hahahahahahahaha

Elizabeth-My lottery wins are a joke over the last 13 years. I have had far more casino wins at my local casino then lottery wins. I have been playing slots for a good 10 years now and I just started to take interest in table games. So my gambling dollars will go to my local casino first. I am really getting into learning the ins and outs of table games. It is something that I have to try because I enjoy the action at the tables.-weshar75

This has nothing to do with the topic, but I just signed on to look at the comments on the blogs and suddenly noticed 8 mosquito bites on my legs. I've always said that I could never live in a cold place like Nova Scotia, as gorgeous as it looks in pictures. However, right now at 2AM it's 12C which is around 54F or about 20 degrees cooler than South Florida. Sounds wonderful!

Didn't win anything with the tickets I bought. Maybe next time. Justxploring - where do you live that there are alot of mosquitos ? What medication do you put on the bites? It's getting colder at night here. I get bored alot and would like to travel when I can. Do you ever go to the casino? I've played a few slot machines, don't understand them so far.

Weshar-, I have been to the casino and only tried the slots, only won some credits,. As I don't go often. When I get some more money though I want to try the table games as well, but I would limit my spending as I know that some of the players overspent and then they end up broke. I wouldn't want that happening.

Starchild,- yes the lottery commission doesn't offer the payouts they should when the consumer has between 4 to 7 numbers in a combination to win a money prize.
I would like to win a million dollars or more to pay bills, help my mother and not have to work for a living, but only to keep busy. I would settle for up to $500,000 which some lotteries are. I would be very happy.

Also I have been applying for work online and going to companies.Hopefully we will hear back from employers for jobs. It takes time.

I live in Southwest Florida, close to the Gulf of Mexico. It's very pretty, but we don't have the 4 seasons like the northern states. Most of us here refer to the winter when the tourists and part-time residents come back as "Season." A sentence, for example, would be "the traffic is much heavier during Season." Coming from New England, I never heard that expression before. There is a big change in the humidity which starts around Thanksgiving and last through the end of March or April. There is also a big increase in the price of a room. Then for about 6 months it's very hot & sticky. Fortunately, I'm very close to the water so we have a breeze. I've visited places like Orlando in the summer and the humidity is unbearable for me. Because of the recent rain from Ernesto, the mosquitos are having nightly buffets and inviting me as their guest of honor. To answer your question, I occasionally use Benadryl but the best thing is to take a hot shower and ignore the itch. A they say, "mind over matter" so if you don't have a mind left, it doesn't really matter. I recently read online that eating a banana will produce pheranomes that attract them. At least somebody thinks I'm sexy!

If you get bored a lot, you might not enjoy this part of Florida, although the East Coast is much more crowded. Naples has grown dramatically, but it's still relatively quiet & safe. For a tourist, there's many things to do, especially if you like boating or fishing or just enjoying the bright sunshine on a sandy beach. Like any other city, we have lots of restaurants, too many Walgreen's, and Target, Walmart, Dollar stores & fast food. From Christmas to Easter the roads are very congested like any growing community. Fort Myers Beach is a town that welcomes a younger crowd and is a little friendlier, but there are too many college students there, especially during Spring Break. It's well controlled, but lots of drinking and partying if that's your bag. I won't write a rant on your blog unless you ask, but the way some people dress around here is shameful. For some reason people think "It's hot, therefore I can dress like a slob."

About an hour east is Immokalee where there is a casino. Many people tell me it's great. I never go to casinos any more. Don't want to take up too much space here to explain, but I've had my share in Vegas, Aruba, St. Martin, Paradise Island, etc. Can't imagine any of our local casinos are 1/2 as nice as those on the Vegas strip. What Weshar wrote is true. The odds at a casino are better than the big jackpot games. My problem was walking away at the right time. If you are on vacation and get bored, it's very easy to spend too much at a casino while you're killing time. Having a limit and sticking to it, as you mentioned, if very important. You might enjoy the casino cruises that leave the docks at about 5 or 6 in the evening. The Big "M" (for money I guess) casino is popular. You get an all-you-can-eat buffet and 50 credits just for boarding. This is what my property manager tells me, so I'm not really sure. He's 79, very rich, and wants me to join him, even offers to give me $100 to gamble, but a little voice keeps telling me to decline his offer. I'm sure you'd enjoy it here. Keep in mind that it can get very cold in Dec & Jan, although most days are sunny.

Time to get the Sunday paper and browse through the ads. Everybody wants a resume emailed or faxed. Guess it weeds out the unqualified applicants in a hurry, but the world has become so impersonal. Be careful how much personal information you provide online, even on HotJobs or Monster. Many are legitimate companies, many are scams. Good luck..it will come soon!

I knew that was going to be a long post! Lots of typos too. Oh well, tried to answer your questions. Hope it helped a little. Just don't think moving to "Paradise" will solve your problems if you have them where you live now. The wages are low. However, you might enjoy a week's vacation by the beach.
