Difference between him and me (besides money) is he lost his friends because they can't relate any more. His wealth intimidates them.
I don't have any friends. Oh, I get along with my co-workers, and I like them. But I don't hang with them, or go out with them. If I ever won a big jackpot, I would have to leave, even if I didn't want to (I would want to) because they would probably find out and there would be some animosity. "He got that big sale, I need a big sale, he doesn't". Human nature.
