Feeding the ducks

Published:

Updated:

I like to go for a walk and feed the ducks or go for a drive and feed ducks in town. A clerk at a store said cracked corn is better for their digestive system then bread. And I get to see other people. Today it's raining out. Didn't win on the keno ticket, not giving up. Bought some more tickets , to try my luck.

Also I will go to the casino with my family in the future and try the slots and maybe a roulette game.

There are radio contests on to win tickets  to go see the country singer Randy Travis in concert, also another contest to go to Nashville. That I would love. I phone up, but it's hard to get through to the radio station with all the other callers. Will not give up on trying.

Good luck in games of chance.

I like to feed the birds at the beach bread when we go to the beach. It is funny how they start out with a couple and pretty soon their is alot of birds wanting the bread. And they can be mean to each over the bread.-weshar75

I also like to feed the birds, but it has been a long while since I have, Yes they do fight over their food.
In many ways animals are just lke us, they are people too.
Be kind to animals.

Always enjoyed throwing scraps in the air for seagulls anytime I was somewhere a lot of them were around. Doesn't take much to make a seagull think he's won the lottery.

When I feed the ducks they bite each other to get to the corn. They are mean like people if they want something for themselves. I like all animals. I have a cat too.

That's being a bit hard on ducks, comparing them to people. Ducks might fight over food, but they'll never kill one another for it.

Jack,

I said that ducks bite each other and fight like people do, that is all. I never said they kill one another.

Must have at least two cats. Corn is good fish bait. Throw the fish back in or eat them. Eat the leftover corn. Ducks are cool but they poop way too much. Feed them cheese popcorn to slow down the poop factory...or feed them corn and take your chances. Don't put cats, ducks, fish and corn together in an open arena.

Cats, corn, fish, ducks, cheese, arena =

Yes, I agree Jack. Ducks will defend their food, but they don't kill for it. They usually just send a bill. Once I saw a goose get upset and hit his buddy with a mallard. Be careful about picking them up. I once put 3 ducks in a box and when I opened it, it was a box of quackers.

Nancy-, I agree I wouldn't pick up ducks either as they may bite someone. You're hilarious, what you said about the box of quackers. My friend.

Lottomike- I go to a feed store down the road from where I live to buy cracked corn for the ducks. I tried the supermarket but they don't sell it. There are boys in my neighborhood that have thrown rocks at the ducks. I tell them to stop if I see them. I'm worried for the ducks all the time .

Rick- That's funny about the not putting cats, ducks, fish and corn together in an open area. Hilarious!
Also thank you for the numbers I can use in future drawings.

God bless everyone

Elizabeth, you watch those bad boy numbers. I'm not playing them so they have a chance of coming in. My cats gave them the "paws up".
