Easy enough to just avoid that Waffle House or ANY other restaurant than don't allow guns.

I feel bad for the guy 'cause his weapon is actually part of his uniform...and he must keep it with him. However, it would seem this would also have to apply to law enforcement as well so maybe there's a disconnect in who knows what. But, Waffle House says they've had this policy for years. How many other soldiers have visited this place? Did they have their weapons on them? Does Law Enforcement have a weapon 'visibly' on their person?

Just a couple of questions I'd have, personally. I used the word visibly above because what they can't see, they can't make an issue of. Beginning January 1st next year, Texas will have 'Open Carry' which will be controversial. Legal carriers of guns can have them in either a shoulder or waist holster...visible. Well, if you're pulled over in this capacity and the cop has no camera and any type of hostile is realized, he can say you tried to draw on him and it's over. People, cops are already terrified and looking for any reason to draw...especially on blacks.

People want to walk around looking more or less like police officers. There will still be so many places whereally a firearm isn'the allowed let alone visibly. In this case, it must be left in the vehicle. I like guns and own some as well but, I'm seeing where this deal may cause lots of backlash. We'LL see.
