The people being taught to fight have to have the will to fight.
Our interpreter in Viet Nam was ok in base camp but when told to go on a patrol he'd say, "Me no go fight VC."
The South Vietnamese Special Forces, LLDB in their language, were known as Dirty Little Bugouts.
Apparently Iraq and Afghanistan are even worse. As for Syria and the refuges, how come so many of them are young males that could be fighting against Assad?
