The first thing that's wrong, in my opinion, is that God was removed from the school. Kids back in the day, myself included, possessed a sense of fear towards God and we're less inclined to engage in much of kids do today. We did other 'innocent wrongs' but, they were within the margin of error. Secondly, all of the mainstream, hands-on academics were removed such as auto mechanics, wood working, home education (cooking), music, and others.

These classes allowed those who weren't inclined to attend college, or, had no desire to actually learn a trade using their hands and brain in that capacity. Girls from my time learned how to actually cook and took that with them into their relationships and womanhood. A man likes a woman that can 'burn' so to speak. The guys from my time knew the basics of working on cars i.e. changinger tires, filyers, spark plugs, and other things. This goes a long way nowadays. One of my classmates actually designs and carves guitars...after turning down college. He has his own business. College is overrated and we need to back to the basics while still offering all the latest computer technologies.
