Years ago a friend at a church camp caught a groundhog (we call them woodchucks in Ohio) with his bare hands. That thing just about ate him alive. Bit up his hands pretty good, and then he had to get rabies shots. He didn't mind getting bitten so much, but the rabies shots weren't fun.

Gotta grab the buggers by the scruff, back of the neck hard and hold on. One of my hunting buddies shot one, butchered it and grilled it up just to see what it tasted like....................he said it was a bit greasy. I am glad I wasn't there.

P.S. I don't go deer hunting anymore, just fish occasionally.
