There was never a so-called Christian America. Too many ungodly acts occurred in America that had nothing to do with Christianity. But there was always Christians in America. Big difference!

The Supreme Court of 1895 declared America a Christian nation.

The key word declared, which means absolutely nothing if it was in words only, as demonstrated by America's sordid history. The Supreme Court was one the main abusers of their declaration.

It was 1892, I had the year wrong.

Try as hard as you like to make facts fit your opinion speedy, as you do with everything else, but here, choke on this:

That’s right. In 1892 in the case of Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States, the Supreme Court examined thousands of documents concerning the founding of our great nation, including all state constitutions and compacts leading up to the time of the Revolution. After ten years of research, the court issued a unanimous decision that included the recognition that the United States of America is not only historically and culturally religious, but that the very system of government and our laws are based on a Christian worldview.

Regarding the mountain of documentary evidence, the high court further stated:

“There is no dissonance in these declarations. There is a universal language pervading them all, having one meaning. They affirm and reaffirm that this is a religious nation. These are not individual sayings, declarations of private persons. They are organic utterances. They speak the voice of the entire people.

This is a religious people…this is a Christian nation.”

Regardless of one’s religious, agnostic or atheist persuasion, there is no doubt as evidenced by the Supreme Court’s opinion in Trinity v. United States in 1892 that founders and the citizens of young America were guided by Biblical principles and Christian ideals. Yes, the United States of America is indeed a Christian nation.

You obviously is not comprehending. Declaring that a Nation is Christian and not living by Christian principles is the highest form of HYPOCRISY. It's ok that you believe that this is a Christian Nation, just as it's ok for me to believe that it's not. I have been a Christian most of my life, not because I live in America, but because I excepted Christ into my life and became a born-again Christian.

Sure Speedy, having to have the last word, even when proven wrong and putting your own twist on the proof is certainly a Christian attribute.

One can't legislate morality or Christianity, that comes from God. If you think the Supreme Court is on the same level as GOD, may the force be with you.
