Beautiful day and all that jazz

Concert promoters are thinking of getting the rock band U2 or other bands to go to Halifax to the Commons. That would be great. Jon Bono, the lead singer has done alot of work worldwide.

Hi Beth!

Hope everything's going well with you. You've been talking about bands lately. I like U2 also...that would be a cool act to catch. I'm a an old dude and have seen a lot of live performances in my days. My favorite concert of all time was when I saw the "new" Santana a couple years ago. He started the concert with a 15 minute jam that had every single person in the audience on their feet and dancing. No one sat down till the end of the set. One of the most fun times in my life and I'd highly recommend seeing him if he plays up there. Be prepared to dance and party hearty.

Take care,

Rick

Yes, Rick - you certainly are "old" LOL!! I remember a very special friend of mine whose family distributed records and cassettes to retail stores. One day I was at his apartment and he said "I've got to show you something." It was 1981 or 1982. Anyway, he had a miniature flying saucer and said it was going to replace tapes in the future. He had a little machine in which it fit. That was the first CD I ever saw or listened to. It was Santana Abraxis.

Hi Nancy,   that's an interesting story about your friend talking about CD's. They are quite popular today.

Rick- Santana sounds like someone to go see. I would like to go see some good music performed.
