Commercialism has ruined Christmas. When I was a child Christmas became a special time of the year. The season never began until after Thanksgiving Day. As a child this was a time of joy, thankfulness, anticipation...it was just magical. Now we have Christmas in July sales etc., this has zapped all the wonderment and cheer out of it. It's just not the same. Which is sad.
