Arnold's just another politician that speaks out of both sides of his mouth to suit himself. If you do some checking you'll see he's also signed quite a few bills in favor of illegal immigrants. He also tried to pass a law that all dogs and cats will be euthanized within 72 hours of being picked up, without any attempts to contact the owners (even if they have tags or a chip). And all other pets (reptiles,rabbits, etc..) will be euthanized immediately. Of course it didn't pass, but it was one of his ways of trying to save money, with no regards to calif tax paying residents... He did pass a law for no smoking in prisons, and at the same time spent a couple hundred grand of tax payers money to build a smoke house in the capitol so he can smoke his $25 cigars while conducting meetings. Which turned out to be built illegally, after it flooded everything... Is he better then the other candidate? yeah he probably is the lesser of 2 evils...but far from the goody 2 shoes guy some make him out to be. He's just another politician. what more can i say! Don't worry i won't be votin for either one...

Considering the amount of well steeped socialism, PC, tort, illegals woven into the fabric of California .... seems he's doing the best he can with what he has to work with. One person can't single-handedly right all the wrongs accumulated over at least 60 years. However, I have my nose pressed up to the glass looking in.

- California now invests more than $10,000 each year per pupil - the highest ever in Caliofrnia's history. Schwarzenegger has increased that number both years he has been in office.
- Over the past 2 years, the Governor delivered more than $2.6 billion to schools for construction projects, more classrooms for more students.
-Training for much needed nurses was expanded with $124 million boost from the Governor
-Protected community college fees from being increased to keep them the lowest in the nation.
-Promoting the well-being of young Californians by banning sugary soft drinks and offering more fruits and vegetables in school cafeterias, and consistently advocating after-school and physical fitness program.

I could go on and on - in the matter of infrastructure, the environment, transportation, security, federal funding, etc ... Better, I'll blog on them.

Yes, the gov is doing the best he can, not only with WHAT he has to work with but also with WHOM he has to work with. As you may know, California is notorious for gridlocks in the state legislature. But in spite of all that, the gov is doing a great job.

That's exactly what I've heard from a friend who's lived in California for years and is very active in grass roots political issues.

Some of the "plans" the WHO'S hatch in California rival "Dumb and Dumber Redux" so you have to question the minds it come spilling out of ... no logic whatsoever, no consideration of peripheral or future impact, only emotional vote buying propositions.

Everyone knows I am not a Right Wing conservative and rarely vote Republican, but I just want the truth, which as we both know is so hard to know in politics. I don't live in CA, but I've always respected Mr. Schwarzenegger's views. I never liked his fellow Republican's label "Liberal Republican" because a don't believe a member of either party needs to lean to the Left or the Right. He should represent the PEOPLE, not just the PARTY. It sounds as if this Governor has listened to the people, but I'm so far away from CA that I only know what I hear and read. I would like to read something about the mass killing of pets you describe, since I can't find anything to support it.

A lot of the top news (ABC, CNN, LA TImes, Etc...) Has already been deleted because of the date being awhile back or it's something they don't us to remember. But i do remember! It wasn't a bill for the people to vote on, it was being pushed behind closed doors by Arnold. But when the people got wind of it, he had to quickly change his mind as well as position on the issue because of all the backlash. I currently don't own any pets, but i feel if they want to charge for tags, chips, etc... with the understanding you'll be notified if your pet is picked up, then they should do it. And not be allowed to change the law without having the people vote on it.
