The fact that the New York Times refers to the rifles as "assault weapons" is ludicrous. There is no such thing. These are semi-automatic rifles, nothing more. Liberals think the guns look scary, so they are afraid and think they are "evil". (They don't think the radical Islamic terrorists are evil, but the guns, with their "scary" looking features are the epitome of evil.)
