no. we communicate very differently now, truth and lies are revealed 100,000x faster than back then, preventing the bad actors from bringing their evil desires to fruition.

As a baby boomer and soldier of that era I witnessed the unjust that took place. I fought for my country in a strange and hostile country but was denied rights when I returned. Nothing changed for a while, but as people marched and had peaceful demonstrations things began to change for the better. Because the demonstrations were non-violent, goal oriented, and organized people were more willing to accept change for betterment of everyone. The protesters of today are not organized, lack leadership, and don't have a goal. It will never be successful until they incorporate those three elements. Are we repeating those mistakes, no, they are not learning from the past.
