This young lady was using a protest technique called passive resistance. It was used many times during the Civil Rights Movement in the 60's. It was very effective and dangerous at the same time. It's very hard to abuse someone and get away with it when the world is watching. This young lady studied the techniques that worked for the Civil Rights Leaders of the past. It worked then, and it will work now.
