Trump’s refusal of Republican pleas for him to stop making racist statements has resulted in top Republicans already running away from their own presidential nominee.

NBC News reported:
The absence of a response to the Trump U story left the candidate to fill the vacuum with a torrent of demagoguery against the federal judge overseeing the case, Gonzalo Curiel, who Trump said was biased by his “Mexican heritage” despite his Indiana birthplace.

Trump’s comments against the judge horrified many supporters, but the real estate mogul rebuffed efforts by campaign staff, donors, and party officials to back off the incendiary claim this weekend, per sources, telling them he was unwilling to look like he had caved to pressure.

“These are things that will defeat [us],” a second source within the campaign lamented.

The Curiel story made Trump’s already difficult task of lining up surrogates even harder, as supporters like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell distanced themselves from Trump’s remarks over the weekend.

All of the weaknesses of the Trump operation that Republicans were warned about are coming back to crush their party. Donald Trump has no real presidential campaign operation. Trump has a barebones staff that spends more time fighting with each other than pressing the campaign’s message. The Trump campaign is a cult of personality centered around a candidate who is more concerned with how he looks in the media than actually doing the nuts and bolts work required to win an election.

Donald Trump doesn’t have any surrogates in the media speaking for him because elected Republicans are too busy running away from him. A perfect example of this was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell bending over backward to distance himself from the Republican nominee when asked about Trump’s racist rant against Judge Curiel.
The fact that Trump was able to win the Republican nomination with a non-existent campaign operation speaks volumes about the weakness of the Republican Party. Republicans now find themselves in a situation where an organization that has lost 4 of the last six presidential elections and 5 of the last six presidential popular votes is being counted on to carry Trump’s campaign.

Trump conned Republicans into handing him their presidential nomination, and now the burden of carrying his deeply flawed campaign is crushing their party.

"Gop rats run from sinking Trunk, but he's their fault" This is a title from another article that was written by Mona Charen, writer for Creators Syndicate...from the right.
It seems that everyone is coming to the same conclusion about Trump, repubs and dems. He's an embarrassment to the GOP and should have never been their nominee. The repubs stood by like weak kneed ninnies and let it happen. Now they are stuck with a buffoon that doesn't learn from his many mistakes or take advice from those that are trying to help his sorry azz. Well, the honeymoon is over for trump...it's time to pay the piper.

Let them go and don't come back. Trump wins in a landslide. The pro-criminal agenda candidate otherwise known as Crooked Hillary and her cronies are the only racists in this picture. Stop already with the false vilification and maligning of Donald Trump. Crooked/Cheating Hillary has become dangerously unstable as evidenced by so many recent public episodes of major brain malfunction due to neuron receptors misfiring and short circuiting. She's not all there anymore and should be seeking medical attention. She's already demonstrated repeatedly that she is untrustworthy and incapable of properly handling classified and confidential information. She can't even keep track of her own lies anymore, LOL. How any sane person with critical thinking skills could willing cast a vote to help put Crooked Hillary aka "The Queen of Lies and Deception" in the Office of the President of the United States is beyond me. TRUMP 2016. The Law and Order Candidate will Make America Great and Secure Again. That's all.

Well, KAL035 Hillary's mind is far superior than Trump's con artist and Narcissist mind. I'm afraid you are going to be quite disappointed in November. Trump does not possess the temperament to be POTUS. Hillary does not need anyone following her around correcting repeated mistakes. You have been hoodwinked into believing in a fantasy. Hillary will be president in 2017. Just remember I told you so on 8/8/16.

You just remember that I told you on 8-8-2016 that no rational person with critical thinking skills could possibly vote for Crooked Hillary. Put it's like talking to a stone wall. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Too bad the majority of voters don't see it your way. I've been around for over six decades. I experienced voo-do economics, I did not read about it in a book. Trickle-down economics does not work period.

I think you may be the one disappointed after the November general election. Is there's one thing Donald Trump most assuredly knows better than anybody else in this country, it would be the ECONOMY, duh ! (Not to even mention his dominance in matters of national security) The rank and file middle class American workers (for the most part) are sick and tired of all the mayhem and self-defeating destructive policies that have been deliberately wrought by artifice and deception and brought to bear upon our country in so many negative ways over the course of the past 8 years by the Islamofascist dictator in the White House. The election may very well be rigged for her to get in and continue these destructive policies, but I think the Trump Movement is unstoppable and the American people have strengthened their resolve to change direction and will not allow the maniacally cackling harridan, aka "Crooked Hillary", to get anywhere near the White House ever again.

The only thing trump has done all his life is scheme, lie, take advantage of the weak, file for bankruptcy, and protect his brand. You are wasting your time trying to convince me that all of a sudden a NARCISIS like Trump believes in anything other than his ability to milk the system to his advantage. Madame President, 2017.
