The only thing I really knew about Sinclair Lewis was that he wrote one of my favorite novels "Elmer Gantry" (also a great movie) and the books Babbit, Arrowsmith and Main Street.  Most of us read a Sinclair Lewis novel in high school or college English. He was the first American to receive the Nobel prize for literature over 75 years ago.  He was also awarded the Pulitzer Prize which he declined. Today I read something he predicted would happen in America. I thought it was an interesting and ominous quote.
