Terrorists Attempting To Influence US Elections With Current Violence

'Today': Terrorists Attempting To Influence US Elections With Current Violence Wave

Posted by Mark Finkelstein on October 19, 2006 - 08:06.

Amidst all the MSM reports about this being the deadliest month for US troops in Iraq in a long time, there was a stunning bit of candor today from NBC reporter Richard Engel suggesting this is not mere coincidence, but a conscious effort by the terrorists to elect Democrats.

At the end of his report on this morning's 'Today' on the situation in Iraq, having spoken with US soliders, Engel reported:

"They believe insurgents are intensifying attacks against American soldiers now in an attempt to influence November's mid-term elections."

Shouldn't it give Americans pause to consider that in the eyes of our men on the ground, our enemy wants to see the Democrats take power?

Perhaps George Soros will sponsor a new MTV series: 'Rocket-Grenade The Vote'.

The Iraqi insurgents don't have to do a thing to influence this election. The electorate has already made up its mind and is eager to show that on 11/7. The only thing that can influence this election right now is another dishonest election.   That will influence our election a whole lot more than the Iraqi insurgents.

Gee, that makes sense -- not! Rick, I love your logic that world events cannot alter the outcome of an election. Did you not notice what happened in Spain in their last election?

It's so funny how certain people refuse to see this connection!

Which party do you think Osama bin Laden wants in power in the USA, if he had a choice? Or ANY terrorist for that matter?

Or how about president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

Or how about Kim Jong-il of North Korea?

Again conservatives event horizons have an expanse of more than yesterday ~ today ~ tomorrow and remember recent history.

Oh yes, hitting our troops heavily prior to election is structurally designed by terrorists to weaken resolve to stay the course and elect cut and run pantie-waist Democrats who will do just that which amounts to surrender.

To Islamagoons that means one step closer to ruling the world by toppling the "Great Satan."

Todd,

No Iraqi insurgent is going to sway my vote. My mind was made up a long time ago and even though we're all a bunch of dummies, I think most people knew who they were voting for six months ago. So to answer your question, No...there is no event on this planet that is going to change the course of this election. EXCEPT of course, another illegal election.

Elections are only "illegal" when Democrats can't keep counting until they're satisfied with the results. That's why we need photo ID laws in every state.

Here in Georgia it's on local tv that some illegals "mistakenly registered" when they're not elegible to vote. Mistakenly my @$$!!!
