Others spending your money

I hate it when others make suggestions about how a lottery winner should spend their winnings.

Besides the Government taking your money at gun point and spending it as they please, I do not want any others thinking along that way.

It is freedom of speech but I have the freedom to say NO.

It is almost a given that Lottery winners are asked to give to Charity. If the charity is honest and trustworthy then it will still be there in another year. It can wait.

Lottery winners must keep a business like manner. If you cannot say NO then hire a financial adviser who can. Be consistent with your daily transactions.

Wink That is my two cents!

I agree. When I won a small jackpot I told my family I would pay off a bill they were having a hard time paying. And I did...but I know them well enough to not just hand over cash. They were happy and haven't hounded me since.

Thank You luckyshoes for sharing your experience with me.
It sounds like you kept a business-like setting. We all want our family to be happy but there is a limit to our generousity.
Congratulations on your small jackpot! Now is a good time for a large jackpot to be won by you. Good Luck, Music*
