Human

What makes you human is not this form, but the invisible intelligence that suffuses it - mind, spirit, God, whatever you want to call it.

Okay, this is one time we have opposite opinions, that is, unless we are really saying the same thing. (what a contradiction, huh?)   When we live in our physical body, we are part of a corporeal and material world. So humans are all pretty much the same. They are bodies with all that gooey stuff running through and react mechanically as any robot might do. When the Spirit and God enters our bodies and we let go of the physical nature of our very being, then the human form is meaningless. So to me what makes us human (weak, vulnerable, spiteful, greedy, mortal) is the flesh, blood and bone. What makes us rise above that state is the Mind, Spirit, God you above mention. I'm far from reaching Nirvana or a Higher Mind, but sometimes I think that understanding it's possibility would be very healing. We could become impervious to pain & suffering, unaffected by the outer world, and live above & beyond the needs of a material existence.
