Admission of liberal bias in the dinosaur media

Wow to all who have argued there's no liberal bias in the news, here's one of of the big three admitting just that in an interview.

Yes, Todd and I both hear what we hear, see what we see and don't succumb to the MSM rewriting history, REALITY or reporting agenda as news.

Anyone feeding from the swill trough of the MSM might want to have their realty barometer re-calibrated. Y'all have been had over and over ...... and should have been given Godivas or flowers as a thank you.

MH: You’re asking me should people be skeptical? I think anyone who’s conservative should be skeptical of anything the old media does. ***
HH: But the old media is overwhelmingly liberal, correct, Mark Halperin?
MH: Correct, as we say in the book.
HH: And so everyone that you work with, or 95% of people you work with, are old liberals.
MH: I don’t know if it’s 95%, and unfortunately, they’re not all old. There are a lot of young liberals here, too. But it certainly, there are enough in the old media, not just in ABC, but in old media generally, that it tilts the coverage quite frequently, in many issues, in a liberal direction, which is completely improper. And it goes from the big and major like CBS’ outrageous story about President Bush’s draft record right before the 2004 election, to the insidious and small use of language describing Nancy Pelosi’s liberal policies and ideas different than they would Newt Gingrich’s conservative ones.

HH: And these liberals…you know, Terry Moran on this program said…Terry Moran on this program from ABC, your colleague…
MH: Right.
HH: …said that the media hates the military, has a deep suspicion of it. Do you agree with that?
MH: I totally agree. It’s one of the huge biases, along with gays, guns, abortion, and many other things.

MH: First of all, I never say MSM, because I don’t believe the old media is mainstream. They’re out of the mainstream on most of the issues I’ve been referring to. So I don’t use that phrase. I believe that as I’ve said several times, happy to say again, that anyone who’s conservative in this country has every justification to be skeptical about anything, an internal memo, or product that goes on the air, from the old media, because of a forty year or more history of liberal bias on a range of issues. And after what CBS News did in 2004, regarding the President’s National Guard record, I would be…I am thankful that any conservative looks to us ever for news and information, given how outrageous what they did was.".............

Like Mr. Halperin, most of the people IN the media admit that there is overwhelming liberal bias in the media. That's just a plain and simple fact, so denying that it exists is intellectually dishonest, to the MAX, and thereby invalidates whatever point that person is making.

People engaged in debate need to at least agree to a basic foundational environment on which to put forth their arguments, so if one side does not even start with a basis of fact, their entire argument is not worth listening to. I've even heard some people make the statement that the NEW YORK TIMES is CONSERVATIVE, but thankfully there are not too many people like that running around making themselves appear silly.

The reason that it is still the "mainstream" media is that the liberals control 90-95% of the news everyday Americans see and read. Yes, there are many people who seek out news on the internet and cable, but those people are largely already in tune with the political ideas, and are knowledgeable to already have an opinion. The rest of the people, who just react to what they see, are bombarded on a daily basis with negative news stories about Christianity, the military, conservatives, the President, Congress, right-to-life people, guns, big business, oil companies, and most importantly, the United States.

To not acknowledge that fact is to bury one's head in the sand, and to be so caught up in one's own mindset that truth has little meaning. Many people are content to let the media do all the thinking for them, but that is not the type of mentality that sparked this great nation.

I've got a strong reflex action to someone re-writing history which has been allowed to happen when people don't pay attention to what's happening or swallow agenda as news without questioning it.

John Bradshaw on the "Dysfunctional Family" PBS series late 80's coined the phrase "you don't see what you see, you don't hear what you hear" describing denial of facts prevalent in dysfunctional families.

Never has that been so clear as now when I listen to liberals putting a spin on events which do not nor ever existed when recounting historical events. That type propaganda or brainwashing likely would have worked with no computers, no internet and no 'pajamas media' knows as bloggers. However, one by one those assertions are being blown right out of the water for reprogramming they're designed to bring about.

Metaphysically speaking, that method isn't EVEN close as to how you go back into time and effect changes.
