As new citizens, this judge has no right to tell them that. They have the right to let what he says go in one ear and come out the other.

Typical bigotry. Prejudging someone you know nothing about. We are a nation of immigrants. Do your family tree and you will find that not all of your ancestors are Americans that were born here.
