Pundits can say whatever they want but the facts speak for themselves. Just because you don't see the sun, doesn't mean it's not shining.

Alot of these comments and cartoons are because the republicans are jealous. I'm going to the store this afternoon and fill up at $1.77 . If you commute to work thats alot of savings. The dow is over 19000 and people (the conservatives) complain. I would rather have money to spend than none at all.
Wait till this time next year. It will probably be $4.50 a gallon .

You're d*mned skippy in this! Hell, even the Republicans have agreed that Trump is inheriting a solid economy which is why he went through the devil's lair to try and win. Everyone knows and the numbers don't lie but, only those with sawdust for brains remain in denial on what Obama and the Dems did with the piss poor economy Bush left for Obama. Oh, but guess what? History just repeated itself, yet AGAIN, because Bill Clinton also left Bush with very rock solid economy with surplus to boot. Democrats ALWAYS end up fixing up what the Republicans phuck up after they've lied to their people on what all they're gonna do...blah blah blah. Now, it's to make America great again.

History has already proven that the Republicans' tax models are a temporary pacifier and band-aid for only the high rollers that don't wanna do the right thing and actually contribute to 'making America great.' Bush killed the economy with favoring the high rollers who didn't put a dime back in to help. Reagan killed the economy the same way and, even worse, so much that he had to go back and raise taxes well over a half dozen times because the revenue wasn't there and his plan failed. Businesses took the breaks, pocketed the money, and laughed at the American People. To this day, only those conservatives that could care less about the people hold up Reagan in this regard. Others know his model failed miserably and own it.

Fast forward to Trump the business man. His only interest in all this in his personal business with hotels. Every phone call he's made thus far traces to something also entailing a business deal, and, his latest call to the Taiwanese President that no other president has contacted since 1979 is no different. Trump called this guy, out of the blue, and it's now confirmed Trump has a personal business interest there. Then, we have the annual Bahrain event which has been purposely organized to be held at Trump's D.C. hotel. Many other things in direct conflicts of presidential interest will arise in the weeks to come, and, unfold within his first year in. His tax returns will surely reveal what he's been hiding and the American, that voted him in, will slowly learn of the major mistake they made along with how they've been had.

They yell how Trump is a business man. Well, you're right, he is a business man and he does business with people on his level to benefit people on his level and not your dumb a$$es. So, Trump saved 1,000 jobs. Great!!! But, at WHAT EXPENSE OF THAT STATE AND OUR ECONOMY? Let's do some math here. Carrier will receive ($7M) in breaks over the next (10) years...$700K/yr. Carrier must also invest ($16M) of its' own money to stay here in order to receive those breaks which is $1.6M/yr. when following this same math and timeline of ten years. Okay, then, ($1.6M) - ($700) = $900,000/yr. that SOMEBODY MUST PICK UP THE TAB ON. I wonder who? The residents of Indiana are in for a huge surprise when it comes time to discuss insufficient tax revenues.

Trump will be out of office in four years while Pence will be trying to get in but, this major tax screw up taking place before either of them even took office will bite HARD in 2020. The people of Indiana will be plagued with a multiplicity of raised taxes for the next ten years to accommodate this deal. Right now, only those who have absolutely ZERO math skills really understand what just happened and how it will not only hurt Indiana but, our economy.

@lakerben

Buddy, they've already started messing it up with Indiana. Sure, I'm glad people still have jobs and all but, this isn't a model that can be applied to every state year by year...it's completely unsustainable. We cannot afford to give up this kind of revenue to make multi-billion companies happy so they'll keep 1,000 jobs stationed here. These companies aren't losing money, lakerben, the people at the top are simply unhappy with not making as much as they want to make. This is a proven fact with Carrier and others.
