I'm a Libertarian in my views and an anti-Republican voter in the voting booth. Proud of it, too.

Agree with Rick, although after reading some bigoted, racist, anti-Semitic and just plain hateful literature on a site claiming to be Libertarian, I don't label myself at all. I am shown as being a "Democrat" on my voting card. I haven't watched the news, but where I voted was empty. Hope that was just a slow time of day. This is a Republican town, so what am I saying?? LOL
I am usually anti-Republican in the voting booth as well, although I've voted for Republicans a few times. I like to vote for the candidate, not the party and there are 1 or 2 good Republicans out there. :-)

Nancy, I haver never seen bigoted, anti-semitic, racist or hateful liiterature on any Libertarian site I have ever visited in my life. You will have to provide a link to these. They are obviously not Libertarian sites because these beliefs are defying the whole purpose of the party and its values. Try Libertarian.org for real sites to the party.

I use to be open minded about all the candidates running for office.
I would vote who I thought would do the job.
Within the last 20 or 30 years to many candidates have become narrow minded.

Neither, I have been a populist for a number of years. It does not pay you any dividends to buy into either party's philosophy because you always get disappointed.

Neither party has had an original idea in 30 years. No new ideas just new faces with the same old tattered ideas. I could have taken a 50 year vacation to the planet Vulcan and upon returning nothing would be any different.

This latest round of elections has proved once again money talks and the average folk are so impressed by people who spend lots of money to get their name on everybodys lips that they forget to think. They also do not have to do research about who best to vote for because that would take time and brain power which the American electorate has in short supply these days.

People ask me when this country is going to wake up, my answer is in the eleventh hour and then start blaming everyone else for the downfall.

People better hope to God this country is still strong ecomomically. We have engineered ourselves into this global economy, which in my opinion was a lousy idea, but we are here, so now to have to make do. Make no mistake no other country on this planet cares if we go up in flames, in fact, the world would love it. I am not speaking of political affiliation, I am speaking of world survival.

Last point, do you really think that any political party or party,s who would spend 1.8 billion on an off year election, which is what both parties spent this year, give a damn about what the average guy wants or what he cares about?

"Its about power stupid". The how important am I contest which rages in the politicial ranks year after year until one wants to throw up. I can not write any more the thought of all of this is making my eyes bleed.

You are right Floridian but you have to admit that it does make a difference whether the dems or pubs are in control and pubs were taking us down fast - you can't even work hard and raise a family unless you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth or do unethical things to make money.

Some companies - either hire illegal immigrants or go out of business. Most choose to hire the immigrants. Large companies outsourcing jobs and the average American, losing homes and marriages being destroyed.

The pubs take everything from us and you know what they are saying now - dem don't know what to do, they need us to tell them.   They talk about us like we are children and laugh like we've been kicked in the head by a mule. Maybe this will halt the destruction of America. To be honest with you, I think it is too late. I dislike those arrogant S.O.Bs. for what they have done to us.

Maybe the American people will start believing that we can work hard, feed and take care of our families now and the crime rate will go down and people will stop freaking out.

Maybe our government won't be controlled so much by big business and banks, now.

my mom just found out after six years today that she will finally be getting her disability.coincidence?   the republicans don't care about things like that for the poor common man like democrats do.
