Ban DDT

The seven nations targeted for new visitation restrictions by President Trump on Friday all have something in common: They are places he does not appear to have any business interests.

The executive order he signed Friday bars all entry for the next 90 days by travelers from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia and Libya. Excluded from the lists are several majority-Muslim nations where the Trump Organization is active and which in some cases have also faced troublesome issues with terrorism.

According to the text of the order, the restriction applies to countries that have already been excluded from programs allowing people to travel to the United States without a visa because of concerns over terrorism. Hewing closely to nations already named as terrorism concerns elsewhere in law might have allowed the White House to avoid angering some more powerful and wealthy majority Muslim allies, such as Egypt.

But without divesting from his company, as bipartisan ethics experts had advised, Trump is now facing questions about whether he designed the new rules with his own business at least partly in mind.

Trump’s order makes no mention of Turkey, which has faced several terrorist attacks in recent months. On Wednesday, the State Department updated a travel warning for Americans visiting Turkey, noting that “an increase in anti-American rhetoric has the potential to inspire independent actors to carry out acts of violence against US citizens.”

Trump has licensed his name to two luxury towers in Istanbul. A Turkish company also manufactures a line of Trump-branded home furnishings. Trump’s most recent financial disclosure, filed in May when he was a presidential candidate, showed that he had earned as much as $6 million in the previous year from the deals.

The executive order makes no mention of Saudi Arabia, home of 15 of the 19 terrorists involved in the 9/11 attacks. The Trump Organization had incorporated several limited liability companies in preparation for an attempt to build a hotel in Saudi Arabia, showing an interest in expansion in the country. The company canceled those incorporations in December, indicating that no project is moving forward.

Excluded as well is Indonesia, the world’s largest majority-Muslim nation, where there are two large Trump-branded resorts underway, built in partnership with powerful local interests.

“To be blunt, we really don’t know what to make of which motives are driving this president’s decisions,” said Kamal Essaheb, director of policy and advocacy for the National Immigration Law Center. “From what we could tell from his campaign and his actions since he became president, what seems to be first and foremost on his mind is his own self-interest and an obsession with his brand.”

Ban DDT, or Delirious Donald Trump. Donald with a stroke of a pen has done more damage to our security in one week than Obama has done in eight years. He is causing protests and unrest in the United States as well as countries over seas. It is very obvious why he picked these seven countries, and not any of the Muslim countries where he does business. Trump is only concerned about his personal business interest. He could care less about the terrorists that are in the countries that were excluded. DDT has learned very little from America's history and foreign affairs.

As usual Speedy, you're right on top of it. This is the type of information that people will do one of two things with...and it's party dependent. One, they'll actually apply it to real time developments while becoming very curious. Two, they'll fact check it, see that it's true and nonpartisan but ignore it. The next move on order would be to search for something on Obama, Hillary, Bill, or anyone besides facing the embarrassing reality of Trumpocracy. The brutal truth is that they know, and have known, that this man is all about himself while pretending to be about the people...his own people. He's fronting with what his supportrs are holding him to while also setting himself up for the kill on the other side...incogTrumpo. Trump has been the producer of The Apprentice, Beauty Pageants, and the WWF Wrestling series...two of which are pure acting and for ratings only...designed to get the viewers all riled up and giddy. However, these productions are diminishing and completely pale when compared to his greatest production series yet...The Totalitarianism of Trump.

But, there's also an even bigger problem. The more his peeps have had to face the pure facts and truths as of lately, the more positive reinforcement they absorb and will continue the same path of delusion. This is the very reason why he's become Teflon Don until recently but, he's actually on a slow path downward according to very respected polls among conservatives only. Sure, they won and Trump is president but, it's nothing like what they thought it would be...with exception to the small base percentage which wants to see Trump 'Make Russia Great Again.' I have this T-Shirt, by the way, and it garners lots of great attention along with some selfies!!! He's going down, just continue to pay attention to what's NOT being discussed as you've did with this entry.

Hey, do you remember when Trump originally scheduled that trip to the Middle East, then immediately cancelled it after his first assertion of the Muslim ban at his rally? Well, he never rescheduled it, and, it's nowhere in his plans to do so thus far. He's gotta go at some point, though, and I believe that significantly more than a shoe will be thrown towards him. He knows this better than you and I, too...which is why it stands as it does. Speaks volumes. Trump has actually done the media, Democrats, and Independents a huge favor in all this by bringing us all much closer together and on one accord. Speedy, this president's approval rating is 36% which means that 64% of this country is in opposition of this man...and it's not a biased poll. A fair percentage of Republicans who voted for him are now in serious regret but, this news isn't covered by his media constituents. Both Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway are forced to run out and literally stutter their way through trying to explain and defend alternative facts. She just said, "Get used to, he's just getting started." Well, sweetie, so are we. Kellyanne felt so pitiful and nervous when she made that 'alternative facts' comment that she literally had to bow her head when saying it.

Trump ban + Holocaust = Trumpocaust...to the date. Then, he's against all Texicans. We literally have a perfect storm brewing and I cannot wait for mid-week. Good entry, Speedy.
