Andy Puzder, President Trump’s embattled nominee for secretary of labor, has withdrawn his name from consideration.

“After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my nomination for Secretary of Labor,” Puzder said in a statement on Wednesday. “I am honored to have been considered by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Labor and put America’s workers and businesses back on a path to sustainable prosperity. I want thank President Trump for his nomination.

“I also thank my family and my many supporters — employees, businesses, friends and people who have voiced their praise and hopeful optimism for the policies and new thinking I would have brought to America as Secretary of Labor,” he added. “While I won’t be serving in the administration, I fully support the president and his highly qualified team.”

Puzder’s withdrawal comes a day before his Senate confirmation hearing was set to begin.

Earlier Wednesday, multiple reports surfaced that GOP officials had advised the White House that Puzder — chief executive of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. fast-food chains — lacked the votes needed for confirmation.

Rather than go through the process of confirmation, Andy took the easy way out like the coward he is. He knew he would be questioned by Dems and Repubs . Bernie summed it up when he said:

“The simple truth is that given his relationship to employees at the companies he runs, he was not fit to lead a department responsible for defending workers’ rights,” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said in a statement. “We need a secretary of labor who is going to fight to raise the minimum wage to a living wage of $15 an hour and pay equity for women. We don’t need a labor secretary who makes millions while his workers are paid starvation wages.”

He does not need a government paycheck or pension. Pretty much just told them to stuff it where the sun does not shine.
He is seeing the ridiculous bullsh!t the Dems are pulling.

Speedy, they can duck and dodge the facts all they want to, it's what they all do best around here. 'We' know the real reasons why he 'voluntarily' withdrew from the running. The man basically slaved the workers in his chain, and, then tried to silence them when he became nominated by Trump. Employees were coerced and forced to work off the clock, they were told to clock out and go sit in their vehicles during slow business and then clock back in when things picked up, they weren't paid worked and earned overtime, the time punches (cards) were washed to reflect less paid hours, and Puzder also stifled managers and employees from other franchises:

Oh, but the other major dead ringer is how he treated his last wife...who was on Oprah undercover and told it ALL. That same tape made its way to Washington for everyone to review...and this is why The Puzzer bowed out. The Dems didn't do a d@mned thing to Puzder or Flynn...they both did it all to themselves. As we can still clearly see, Speedy, these folks are still in the dark and ready to blame everyone but those truly at fault.

LL, they try their best to put on their best face when it comes to Trump. They are slowly finding out that they made a horrible mistake. They tried to equate signing executive orders as doing something. He signed them and not a thing has happened. Where are the jobs? Where is Trumpcare? He's too busy playing defense for charges coming his crooked way.

Regarding the Flynn fallout, I'd like to pose the $64,000 question, Speedy. Why did Trump request Flynn's resignation? Hmmm? I mean, word on the street is how Flynn has been cleared by Comey due to no wrong doing. Well, in this case, it's evident that Trump felt he really couldn't trust Flynn or why didnt he just wait until the dust settled before making quite the decision that he did? Yep, something is still very wrong here because Trump was trying to get ahead of the storm he thought was coming 'his way.' If he really had known, for certain, that there was nothing to be found within the wire tap or otherwise, he should've rode it out and supported Flynn. Right? Right.

Now, all of a sudden, we have everyone around here pulling for a Democratic Michael Flynn but, it's ONLY because Flynn was chosen by Trump. For this matter, it's also Trump who kicked a supposedly FBI-cleared Flynn to the curb...again. Do you now see how these folks around here operate once again? What Democrat have they ever rooted for and pulled for?

Yeah, I know...blatant hypocrits. I respect Flynn for serving his country and all, but that insubordination deal is big no-no. He's not done with Russia either, believe it.
