Pretty complex situation to think about without an depth analysis of each department.

Massive, Where to begin, they need to have a efficiency expert go through each one.
Just the paper clips and toilet paper are huge dollar amounts.

Thanks Sully. It's a time consuming survey but may be helpful if you have time.

I just finished it up and yes, it was very involved.

I expect Homeland Security to be contacting me shortly, as well as being audited, plus a picket outside my house by farmers and teachers. About the only thing I left alone was the military, but I have many more detailed reorganization plans for them. Basically, everybody else but actual taxpayers are going to have to make some sacrifices; I don't have any children, but I don't want any of my friend's children and great-great-great grandchildren to be paying off the debt that we've allowed to multiply during our time as citizens of this country.

I feel many departments can be condensed and a lot of the hands on work can be computerized (with the proper security of course), and the entire government downsized. I would like us to be out of foreign affairs and nation building because we see where it's gotten us.

I wrote that many of those depts. need to be gutted. What I didn't write was that I thought many of the employees need to be gutted...literally esp. those employees who concoct inane regulations that have the force of law. (esp. in the EPA) How is that Constitutional? It's taxation w/out representation, plain and simple.

Thanks Mike. Bureaucracies are self perpetuating and multiplying, just like dishes and laundry if not addressed.
