anyone got pointers on how to break out of doing the same old routine or bad habits that we sometimes repeat over and over even though its bad for us and we don't need to but we do it anyway.

example--as far as myself after i work all night i get in and turn the internet on and crack open a cold coke and start reading and listening to music instead of laying down and going to sleep.

Substitute cola with something that doesn't contain caffeine so sleep can come more easily. There's been some research about phosphoric acid which is in many colas leaching calcium out of your bones possibly causing osteoporosis later in life. It's also not good for your kidneys.

Take up meditating or practice self-hypnosis which Silva-mind teaches ... either of those states are so close to sleep that you will drift right off. Also low volume tranquil music will help. Good luck!!

read a book to or play with the kids instead:-) i guess if you work a second shift that would be out of the question lol they'd be sleeping:-)   try root beer:-)
