Well I knew that this was going to happen. So when I heard about it on the news it was no surprise after the fight that took place and the fact that they did not have a good season. I think that the university had already decided to can him and it did not help that the team was ineffective this year. Since Miami is one of the teams that I think of as having championship talent and this year they did not go any where. Just like my lame Ducks this year they choked but they will not fire our coach because it was just one of those years to forget.-weshar75

What's funny is, you see all these DOMINATING National Championship teams, usually nobody can touch them - as was the case with Miami in 2002. Then, going off of that, they go out and recruit anybody they want - and get them. So now, here we are, 4 years later, with all these 'superstar' recruits, and they are just not a very good team.
And what's funny is, Miami isn't alone, it seems most championship-winning teams are pretty mediocre 4-5 years later, regardless of how many 'superstars' they recruit. It happened to Oklahoma as well.
We'll see how USC is in 2-3 years, Ohio State in 2.
