In the exact spot where I am sitting, 10,000 years ago, the Ice was a half mile thick, it melted leaving behind Michigan's Great Lakes and our swamps and hilly terrain.
Fossils found here also suggest salt water creatures, we also have salt mines.
So at one time we were salt water Ocean, Ice covered and now deep lush forest, took millions of years to evolve to this . I think it's safe to say dinosaur farts did not melt the ice, it's just the way our egg shaped Earth spins and changes over time.

The earth changes, we humans adapt to those changes. Plant trees.

The Antarctica is ridiculously even colder and expanded, let us hope/pray we don't have a major volcanic or an asteroid event.....................
