On July 10th, I lost a great friend.
He is the reason I started playing the lottery, along with my mother, lol.
He would show me his winning tickets, from Illinois and Missouri, and I was like, "Man, I am not playing the lottery", lmaoooooooooooooo, So, I told him my mom plays, lol.
He kept showing me tickets, so, I started playing one number, every day, 917.
$1.00 midday and evening, lmaooooooooooooo, I was making money, but, would not play much.
So, whenever that number hit, he came looking for me, saying, and grinning, "Did you play today? Did you play that 917?
lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo. He knew I did, $350.00, so, I would take $50.00 and spend it on food, to have a big lunch on Friday, lol.
So, I started studying, to help him and my mom win more money, that was the beginning of my lottery life.
One day, he called me, wanting to know if I had a winning number.
I said, "I keep getting, 523?
So, he said, "Play it for me, Straight, and straight/box.
So, I did, and bammmmm, it hit, we both won $950.00 each, tax free.
I don't remember when it was, but, he met me at the Mathews Dickey's Club, because, my grandson had baseball practice. I gave him his two tickets.
I"m just going to hold all my good memories.
One day, after work, I picked up my grandson, soon as he got in the car, my phone rang, it was Mr. Tabb, we were talking about numbers, lmaooooooooooooo.
My grandson got in the car, he kept looking at me on the phone? He said, "It's all about the numbers, what about me"?
lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I told Walter, "I got to go, my grandson just checked me, I'll talk to you later", lmaoooooooooooooooooooo.
R.I.P.

Thank you @ Dd2160
The memories just keep coming back. I guess because, I was thinking of him the day before I read the post of his passing.
I was thinking about him liking the number 588, so I told him to play it in the front 3 of the pick 4. I was knew to the game and just thinking out loud, and guess what? 5888 hit that day!,, this was back in 2008 or 2009 when I first started playing, he was juicing me up to play, lol.
He called me one day, and asked what I had in mind, I said, 578, and I always had a reason for playing a number, lol. I think I called 5 people and told them to play it, and it hit straight, lmaooooooooooooooooo. I didn't even play it myself. lol, but, was happy they all won.

Hello MzDuffleBaglady, I don't live in Missouri, but you're one of the reasons I like tuning into that thread. Love seeing your passion and skill for the game, and your infectious humor is icing on the cake. It's nice to know who the catalyst was in getting you started. Thank you for sharing a piece of your life with such a wonderful a story! A tip of my cap goes to Mr. Walter Tabb, and to the friendship you shared. Take care...

Thank you @ Kola
I appreciate it.
Yes, he very much was the start of this, lol, along with my mother, I would come home from work and tell her what numbers he won on, because, he played, Missouri and Illinois, just like she did.
I didn't play at all, lol.
I would tell her what he won on, then, she would say, "Ask the man at work, what numbers he playing", lmaooooooooooooo.
I was working on the assembly line, and attending school in the evening, working on my Bachelor's degree.
And, the both of them drew me in, lmaooooooo.
So, I started studying the game , to see if I could help them win more money.
I made my own calendar, before I knew about lottery post, lol.
Those were the days!, lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in 2009.
I won some nice money.
But, the only thing I remember buying was, some headstones.
Because, my big sister said, "That's momma looking out for you".
I said, "yeah, because, she always wanted to win some big money".
So, I purchased headstones for my big sister, and little brother, and my auntie, and my dad.
I did it, because, she always said, she would, but, I guess she didn't because, it would have been too final for her.
So, I did it.
For the rest of the money, I don't remember what I did with it, I was just acting like, "Big Momma Kane", lmaooooooooooooooooooo
Sounds like you have a tight Fam! It's good to know that still endures nowadays. And from how you roll in these games, I see there "Ain't No Half Steppin'" with you. I think you'll be "Big Momma Kane-ing" for a long time...
