Americans can't get a raise because the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The so-called trickle-down effect has never worked for the average Americans. The system is designed for the filthy rich and well-off. Any raise that the average American gets is taken by an increase in healthcare, etc. Raise? That's sad and laughable. And it's not getting any better.
