Sick

Published:

Well winter finally got to me.  I am sick with a high fever and a scratchy throat.  I went and got medicine this morning because I had only Nyquil to get me through the night.  I sometimes let my fears get the best of me because last year I was in the Hospital with pneumonia and a High heart rate.  But I have gotten my fever down over the last 24 hours.  I just let my mind wonder when I am laying in bed and I tend to write myself off.  Well I hope that everyone else is having a good day.-weshar75

I was experiencing the same symptoms about two weeks ago. I only do the minimum amount of medications when I'm feel sick; Tylenol, Sudefed and Vicks vapor rub. This time I did breakdown and take a cough syrup, Tussin which wasn't too bad. Chicken soup and orange juice als helped.
anyway, get well soon. litebets

Hope you feel better. By "write yourself" I hope you mean post your heart out! Strange..with all my problems, I never get sick. Make sure you drink fresh orange juice once a day and drink some echinacea and/or green tea once in a while to keep your immune system strong. The only reason I don't suggest chicken soup is I grewup in a Jewish home & my mother would boil 2 chickens every Friday night. She boiled the living daylights out of those things and during the week we'd eat chicken sandwiches (had to add lots and lots of mayo) and sliced chicken (with lots of mustard) or some other form of boiled chicken. I'd then sneak over to my friend's house and eat some glazed ham. LOL

Feel better soon! BTW, regarding Mucinex, I hate those commercials. I never thought of mucas as something cute and cuddly. The only green, slimy thing I want to see dancing around is Kermit.

get well! and let that mind wonder over some winning power ball combinations. Or if you like a little risk, venture out to your local casino and gamble. this will buy you a few hours of peace (cuz gamling shuts everything off) but a soon as you leave you be sicker than a dog. : ) feel better.
