Why 50 votes? I understand Menendez is unable to vote until after his trial. Pence will throw in the tie breaker.

McCain is not the only senator voting no. Last count it was at least 3 others. They need only 2 no votes. If their plan was any good they would try to sell it to the people instead of trying to hoodwink them.

I don't think so. It doesn't make sense to vote against something your party helped to create. Just as the repubs stood in solidarity against the dems healthcare bill, the dems will do likewise. THIS BILL WILL DO HARM TO THE WORKING POOR AND SENIORS.
