Okay. Today my goal was to get out of bed and take a shower. So far I've accomplished 1/2 of that that successfully. I'm slowly pushing myself toward the bathroom.

On the serious side of life, it's true that we need to follow the one day or even one step at a time theory. Setting goals that overwhelm us can result in failure, because we feel the pressure to do everything at once. A child learns to stand, then take small steps and then walk. The jumping, skipping, hopping and running comes later.

I like that movie, "What About Bob". Bill Murray learns to take 'baby steps' from his therapist, Richard Dreyfus. Funny stuff.

That was a pretty funny movie. Maybe I'll rent it. I finally gave in and bought a DVD player Fri after Thanksgiving. Great deal. But I still need to make a copy of the bar code from the box. I hate the rebate game. They rely on most people forgetting or procrastinating or just plain giving up. Every DVD is for widescreen so that means my 2 year old 32" Magnavox is obsolete I guess.

Okay, so now I've taken my shower and washed my hair. So now I need to write a list of more goals for Sunday. The past couple of weeks I've committed to attending a service on Sunday, so I guess if I do that now I'll go to a 6pm one in Naples - either that or do a wash. You can tell I have lots of energy. LOL
