Fleas and mosquitos big problems, little creatures. Some guy got it out West here a year or so ago, today, plague is rare in the United States. But it has been known to occur in parts of California, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. from the internet Yersinia pestis bacteria.

Thanks Jarasan. I've read about it and hanta virus occurring out west. PBS had a program years ago about how to safely clean up droppings and urine in areas where it's occurring.
