The first part of Kelly's press conference was sincere, but when he went off on Rep. Wilson, I saw shades of Trump and lost respect for him. He went into name calling and made accusations that was proven false. This is the second time he has been used by Trump to do damage control. Each time it was a controversy that was started by Trump because of his thin skin. Kelly puts his integrity on the line every time he tries to clean up something Trump has started, he loses creditability. Kelly is no longer a general, he is now political and will be judged different.

Great analysis, Speedy. Much respect for Kelly as well but, he never should've attacked Wilson who's been friends with that family for years. Kelly is simply embarrassed over there being witnesses of Trump's inability to genuinely show empathy...IN HIS OWN WORDS. Furthermore, it's not like it was all planned out for Wilson to be on the scene for Trump's call, either. Hey, where's that proof Trump spoke of? He said that if Wilson made her claim once more, that he'd prove he didn't say what she accused him of.

Wilson has reaffirmed it TWICE since then.

LL, if Kelly is not careful, Trump will do great harm to this man's integrity. I think it was done on purpose by Trump. Trump's narcissi nature does not like anyone receiving more praise than him. He is sending Kelly out there to show his base who is the big dog in the white house. It is clearly an ego thing.
