Rick Perry is an idiot and I always thanked whatever gods there might be that the powers of a Texas gov. are strictly limited.

Well, mikeintexas and I NEVER get along nor agree on anything for the most part but, he spoke well with his commentary above. I don't say that because he lashed out at a Republican either. It's because that statement is the naked truth as Rick Perry is notorious for asserting such BS while actually believing it. Folks, if Rick Perry really wanted to discuss prevent SIGNIFICANT sexual assault issues in our HIGHEST levels, he'd begin with our military. Yes, I said that...OUR MILITARY. We have localized issues with this issue but, I'd think that we'd want our military and it's programs to be free of such filth. There was sexual assault/rape going on back in 2004 in Iraq within KBR's contracting operation...I was there. Furthermore, there was tons of sexual misconduct within the military also reported but it didn't initially receive much traction from the media. Go figure. Fast forward to 2017 with all the Bernstein, Cosby, Spacey, Ailes (Fox News), Weiner, Bolling (Fox News), O'Reilly (Fox News), and so many more... even our own POTUS with having sexual misconduct on their resumes. It's pathetic!

However, what's even worse is how those in our military who are entrusted to protect and represent those that are violated are actually now VIOLATORS. Gonna leave three d@mning articles to read over which tell all. Rick Perry is, and has been, silent on the issue of military sexual assault/misconduct from jump street and only he knows why 'cause my @ass sure doesn't. As suspected, it takes a woman to really take charge of such an issue regarding our highest ranks and the lady in the last link does just that. For the record, Perry and Gillibrand go way back with the Insider Trading Bill from 2011 being a pivotal point of their battles...and she did well. Here's the major excerpt from Politico to segway into my point regarding Perry's fossil fuel BS:

-Perry's decision to highlight this issue and, now, to single out Gillibrand, a liberal New York senator who used to be a corporate lawyer, fits neatly within his strategy of selling himself as a conservative Washington outsider. He has said any lawmaker who engages in insider trading should go to jail, but hasn't gone after House Speaker John Boehner, who was also featured in the 60 Minutes segment, with quite the same fervor.-

So, he casually forgot to check Boehner regarding insider trading violations while bumping his gums at Gillibrand over a bill. Here he is, again, forgetting to check the real culprits of assault/misconduct but, he's also SILENT this time towards Gillibrand on the issue.

Yeah, Rick, bring back SLICK 50 OIL, and it'll prevent guys from sexual assault and groping...grabbin' 'em by the pu**sy!!!! Lord, help us.
