Pick 3 pairs.

Published:

How do you pick your pairs? Do you track them, play repeats, longest out, etc? Forget that.  Do you want to pick the right pairs almost every time?

Here's what you do. Go back 12 draws and write down how many times each digit hits.  If a digit was a double count it as two hits. If you add up the total hits it should equal 36. Next put the digits in order from most to least. Divide in half with a dash or line so you have 5 digits on each half. I call them Top 5 and Bottom 5. Make pairs out of the numbers on each half. There will be 10 pairs on each half.

Almost always, 2 numbers will come from one half and 1 number from the other half. Pick the correct half to get the pair and use the 5 digits on the other half as the third number. You will end up with 50 combos to play. Reduce these to an affordable amount if desired.

Make a chart to track whether the Top 5 or Bottom 5 is hitting. You don't need to track the numbers, just track which half hit.  Keep the draws separate. This is for singles only. As long as you pick the correct half you win. Good Luck!!!

Don't let the idea of 50 combos scare you. There are 120 Pick 3 box combos, you now have 50. That's a pretty good reduction to start with. But 50 is just a starting point, it can be easily reduced to around 20 or even less. How far you reduce it is up to you. Good Luck!!!

If you want to play fewer numbers. Take the first 3 numbers in the Top 5 or Bottom 5. Make pairs out of them. Use one, two, or all three of the pairs. Then either use all 8 of the remaining numbers, or the 5 numbers from the other half as the third number. Good for several hits a month. Back test your state.

I've found that the top 2 numbers (the most hits) will hit on at least 50% of the draws each month. Sometimes as a pair, but usually one or the other.
