Well, let's start with the following: Republicans were so gung-ho with anti-abortion in the name of UNBORN INNOCENT LIVES being taken that they actually SHUT DOWN many abortion clinics in an effort to CURB and DISCOURAGE women (Republicans & Democrats) from going through the procedure. Are you with me? Okay, now replace the words 'abortion clinics' and 'unborn innocent lives' with the word 'guns' and ' innocent people that are already here' with great futures in front of them...TAX PAYERS, STUDENTS, ETC. ETC. Get the point now? I can respect their zeal for preserving life but, it still wreaks of utter hypocrisy when it comes to guns, the 2nd Amendment, and actual living individuals already contributing to our system being killed nearly by the dozen at a time. When can also factor in our 20+ per day veterans that commit suicide via their guns which the NRA and the right wing medias refuse to discuss.

What I don't get is how any time something about our 2nd Amendment comes up regarding gun regulation, it's followed by 'burning the constitution', 'shredding the constitution', 'stomping on the constitution.' However, when these same Republicans were passing legislation to close those clinics they didn't use any such words in support of womens' rights. Folks, that's textbook hypocrisy. See, I know what's really going on here. These people are still back in the days of when there were millions of citizens killed SUPPOSEDLY due to gun laws and not being armed. Okay, I get it! Let's do something in between those laws where law abiding citizens are protected, and, CAN PROTECT OTHERS IF NEEDED while preventing mentally ill and UNDERAGE people from retaining-purchasing weapons to carry out massacres.

It's not going to be easy but, we're also making it much, much harder than it needs to be BY NOT EVEN TRYING TO HONESTLY DISCUSS THE ISSUE AND REACH A TRUCE.

It would help if qualified staff in schools were armed.

Their should be only the doors used for entry accessible from the outside. Other doors should not be accessible for entry from the outside unless they have a special entry key. But can be opened from the inside for emergency exit.
