Why were the soccer players in the cave during the rainy season? An error in judgment to go in the cave cost this man his life.

Error in judgment all right.
Just done a search on why they were in there during the rainy season.
The cave is off limits during the rainy season to begin with.
My suggestion is to install locked barriers on the entrances now.

Thanks JAP. I'm glad they got the kids out safely but very sorry for the loss of the Thai Navy Seal.

In all likelihood they'll do something like barriers to keep the public safe.
