I was surprised the White House didn't explode when they met there on Trump's inauguration day...from the sheer internal pressure of two "YUGE" egos.

Um, Aretha Franklin was SELF-EMPLOYED just like any and every other song artist, and, therefore was working for herself regardless of who simply contracted HER SERVICES. Done.

Did she pay herself, too? -snicker- Uh, if you hire a painter, a CONTRACTOR, to paint your house, he is SELF-EMPLOYED, yet while he's painting your house, he works FOR YOU.   He's not a full-time employee, yet one in your employ until the job is done. She sang at several of his resorts and hotels, so yes...she DID work for him.
