Thanks Eddessa. The party left them. Meanwhile the Republican party has been thankfully re-branded by Pres Trump to encompass a broader more inclusive base.

I guess that blows away the stereotype that they are all stupid, misguided fools, although I suspect our own useful idiots in here would rather die than admit their political philosophies are treasonous and harmful to the country.

I think the Republican Party has always been, for the most part, inclusive, but we let the most extreme elements of the party speak for the rest of us. (just as has the Democrats), not to mention letting the media put forth a false narrative.

Thanks Mike. In the late 80's early 90's there was an attempt to hijack the Republican party by the far right. Remember when Pat Robertson ran for president? Cringe worthy times which may have driven some moderates away. I feel Pres Trump is branding the party now with a more middle of the road approach.

Currently the left is showing everyone what it was about the entire time instituting socialism.

It wasn't all that long ago that Santorum and Huckabee were both making attempts toward the Oval Office...and they both were what I would call neo-con extremists. I can't stand either one of them and am not a huge fan of Robertson, although I guess I could be arsed to say he's not quite as bad as some other TV evangelists.

You are 100% correct about the moderates being driven away and I think now it's done a 180 and they're trickling back to the right, they simply don't have any other choice.

Thanks Mike. Yes I still like Styx and he does rants about everything, some of which I feel get to the heart of the issue. However ..... after a windows update some youtube videos do not have sound and his is one of them. I don't know if that's by accident or design considering censorship. I can watch those vids on my phone but not had time to devote lately.

I tether to my phone and it eats up my data allowance, so I toggle his vids down to 144p, but the sound comes through just fine. I used to d/l them and listen at my own leisure, but now just watch them not long after he uploads them. I do like him, just wish he'd wear a shirt. -grin-

I don't watch them all, some don't really interest me, esp. his gardening videos or those about Vermont politics, but I generally like one or two out of his usual four he posts. I wish I knew what type of coffee he drinks, just out of curiosity.    I also keep waiting for him to poke himself in the eye with the spoon he keeps in his mug.
